Serif Can Unver
He was born in 1981 in Ankara. At the age of seven, she started Suzan Altıner's class as a part-time cello student at the Istanbul University State Conservatory. After studying here for 4 years, in 1993 in İzmir, as a full-time student of Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory, he started his cello education with Prof. It started in Ümit İşgörür's class.
In 1995, he received the 3rd prize in the "Talented Children Music Competition" organized by the Rotary Club. In 1997 and 1998, he took an active part in workshops organized by world-renowned cellist, pianist and conductor Alexander Rudin. In 2002, he took part in the first performance of Heitor Villa-Lobos' "Bachianas Bresillieras" in Turkey. He gave very successful concerts in solo and chamber music branches at the International Music Festival "Festival Musicale Et Lyrique" in Bourg-Saint-Andeol (Ardeche), an international festival held in France in 2002.
In one and a half years of his education, Prof. Çağlayan Ünal attended Sümer's class. In 2003, right after her graduation, she passed the exams of the Istanbul Technical University Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) and became a full scholarship student in Reyent Bölükbaşı's class.
At the beginning of 2008, at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Assoc. He started his master studies in Sinan Dizmen's class. Later, he continued his studies at the same school, Assoc. He continued with İzzet Nazlıaka.
In 2009, she won the master's program of Başkent University State Conservatory and transferred to this school and started her studies with Assoc. He continued here with Sinan Dizmen.
In 2004, he successfully passed the exam of Başkent University Orchestra Academic Başkent in Ankara and started to work in the same orchestra. He started to work as a lecturer in the cello department of Baskent University State Conservatory in 2007.
In 2015, he started conducting, counterpoint, form and harmony studies with composer and conductor Bujor Hoinic and composer and conductor Artun Hoinic. In the same year, he began to conduct the Başkent Chamber Orchestra.
In 2017, he completed his master's degree in the field of Orchestral Conducting at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Composition and Conducting Department. It started under the supervision of Burak Tüzün and in the class of maestro Naci Özgüç. Here Prof. He studied instrumentation and orchestration with Renkm Gökmen, conducting with Naci Özgüç, form and analysis with Hatıra Ahmedli Cafer, and piano with Marek Drewnowski. He graduated in 2019.
In 2019, he established the BODER-Capital Chamber Orchestra Culture, Art and Education Association. He became a board member of this association. He established an amateur children's choir called Başkent Children's Choir within the association. He founded the BIAO-Capital International Amateur Orchestra. He conducted the first concert of the orchestra, which consists of musicians from 21 countries and Turkish musicians, at the CSO stage. To commemorate Beethoven's 250th birthday in 2020 with the support of the German Embassy He conducted a magnificent concert with the participation of pianist Yeşim Gökalp and the Olimbera Voice choir.
In 2019, they formed a duo called Duo Dolce with pianist Sibel Sarıcan Gündüz. Duo Dolce performed their first concert at the Gökyay Foundation Chess Museum.
In 2020, at Eskişehir Anadolu University State Conservatory, under the supervision of Associate Professor Şenol Aydın, Prof. Dr. He started his Proficiency in Art/PhD studies in the field of Cello in Ozan Evrim Tunca's class. Here Prof. Dr. Cello with Ozan Evrim Tunca, Assoc. Ahmet Burak Basmacıoğlu and Assoc. Baroque music with Hale Basmacıoğlu, Assoc. Dr. Audio technologies and MAX/MSP with Onur Dülger, Assoc. Dr. He worked on modern music with Berkant Gençkal and on modern music analysis with Pieter Alexander Snapper.
Şerif Can Ünver still continues his Proficiency in Art/PhD studies, continues his duties in the Orchestra Academic Baskent Cello Group and Baskent University State Conservatory, continues to be the permanent conductor of the Baskent Chamber Orchestra and a member of the BODER board of directors.
